Pennsylvania postcard - PA
- mailed 1908
- Werner E De Turck - Keystone State Normal, Kutztown, PA
- A GREAT Real Photo Postcard showing a couple of young men in what I believe to be their bedroom. As should be - the room has some antique furniture and even a curtain in the doorway, which probably kept down the drafts - but what is even more interesting is what is all over the walls. The 2 pennant flags have KSNS which stands for Keystone State Normal School. There is a picture of President Roosevelt / bunch of family pictures / couple of calendars / a young woman by Harrison Fischer? / postcards etc. Both men have a book in their hand as if they had been reading. One sitting on a chair the other on a brass bed. the man on the right has an arm band for KSNS.
- Do take a look at another very similar RPPC that we have for sale (our #A17365). It shows some older men which may be teachers or officers of some sort at the school, in similar surroundings.
- KSNS is now Kutztown University
***Would like to see them purchased by the same individual, if nothing else for them to stay together. That said, if you do get BOTH OF THEM, drop me a quick note & I will refund you $10 to make it a little more affordable to you***
- Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
- Again, because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not
