Vermont real photo postcard

titled: Building the Track at the Dam Vernon, VT
shows 8 men, most in overalls some with only one strap on. Appears that one of the men has a long crowbar type thing that he is working the rails with. You can see the track itself is too close together so it has not been set.
A great addition to any railroad or construction collection of long ago - but especially one from Vermont
Did find out that there was a MAJOR FLOOD event on March 18, 1936 that took out the dam in Vernon - so this may have be construction to rebuild the railroad tracks as a result of that.
Am also thinking that this is probably extra unique and a ONE OF A KIND image

Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.

Again, because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
