CALIFORNIA postcard

• mailed 1938 from Chester Depot VT in 1938 which is a DPO 1 cancel
• made by Curt Teich and Co
• below the monument reads:  Virile to risk and find - kindly withal - and a ready help - Facing the brunt of fate - __ndomitable - unafraid
• monument itself seems to depict a woman with her breast exposed as if she was breast feeding the baby in her arms, a small boy just behind a man with his arm up shielding his eyes as he looks a far.
