Colorado postcard

Publisher:

Year Mailed:  hand dated 1912

Additional Info:  note is as follows.....This rock that is called Independence rock is 575 feet high.  It has a USA floating up on top.  A man built a ladder of gas pipe clear to the top.  Then he went up and put this flag there.  Now you may not think this is possible but it is for I have saw it with my own eyes.  It is in what they call Monument Canyon.  The other picture is a large rock balancing on some clay dirt and has some different things growing on top.  It stands on ___ all hill of its own.  Will tell you more about this ___ later.  Front of the card has Independence Rock and Balance? Rock.  Monument Park Colorado, December 1912.  There are also a couple of men standing around the rock on the right, one of which looks like he is leaning on a rifle.

  • We combine your postcard purchases and ONLY charge you a flat s/h fees of $2 to the US, Canada (for 1 card or 100).
  • Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card.  If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
  • Again, because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
