Greetings - BABY CHICK - double card opens & reveals raised honeycombed - w03034
Greeting type postcard but there is no title. Believe that they call these mechanical cards because of the movement of card when opened.
This card is a double postcard joined in the center. When opened, a cute little bird (a baby chick) raises up from the center. The head is cardboard but the body itself is thin paper in a honey comb fashion. There are forget me knot flowers printed all around the pop up bird.
Mailed from Canada in 1906
When you think that it is around 120 years ago that it went thru the mail itself without any cover jacket or protection, as far as I can see - it is in fantastic shape.
I have tried show enough of the card - but if there is something in particular that you would like to see - ask.
- Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
- Because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
