Greetings - Bee, Hornet, Wasp large wings & honeycomb body - pop up - B17114
Greeting type postcard but there is no title. Believe that they call these mechanical cards because of the movement of card is opened. The insects' translucent wings raise up into the air and his honeycombed body (an orangish or yellow and black) also presents above the crease of the 2 cards, where they join. The black colored legs are on the face of the card as is what appears to me to be apple blossoms.
Appears to have a little damage to the Wasp or Bee's head area but the lower body seems to be in good condition. There are a couple of tears to the top and bottom center area (when the card is opened) as well as a crease or start of a tear that is just above the postmark and continues to the back side).
When you think that it is around 120 years ago that it went thru the mail itself without any cover jacket or protection, as far as I can see - it is in fantastic shape.
Does have a postmark from Canada and a received postmark from in the states.
I have tried show enough of the card - but if there is something in particular that you would like to see - ask.
- Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
- Because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
