• back:  FIRST METHODIST - Chicago Temple / located in the heart of the Loop is the worlds tallest church.  Its congregations have worshipped on this site for 109 years.  The spire, floodlighted at night, is one of Chicagos most inspiring sights.  The chimes are heard throughout the downtown area.  2,000 worshippers can be accommodated in the sanctuary and additional rooms.  The organ is considered one of the largest and best in the country.  Visitors from an average of 30 states worship here every Sunday.  The church is open daily for meditation and prayer.  Dr Charles Ray Goff is the pastor.
