- back: Steamer Wm B Davock about to leave Weitzel Lock on the Lake Superior level, showing the gates just opening. A canoe load of tourists, guided by two Indians, has been locked up, in the same locking and they are just leaving, on their way to shoot the rapids. Wince the water power companies have taken up so much of the rapids, each canoe must be locked through and taken all the way up and around the head of the canal before they can shoot the rapids. This makes a novel and pleasant trip for the sight-seer, aside from the actual rapids trip itself
- Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
- Because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
