Georgia Real Photo postcard
postmark from Pooler, GA with a DOANE cancel (was not able to find it in my older Doane cancellations book, so am not sure if it is a NEW FIND or one that hasn't been reported). Has four pairs of thin lines with a 2 imprinted in the stamp area. Believe that it is from 1908
Shows a railroad station / train depot / train station / railroad depot
For the life of me, I am not able to make out the first word on the face of the card.
You can definitely see a sign for POOLER at the roof - as well as; Savannah 6.2 or 8.2 miles & Macon 18.7? Miles
There is a black man in bib overalls - which I am assuming in an employee as he seems to be posing
If anyone knows the right word that the Cofya / Cofga is referring to and wants to let me know - I will correct the listing
J W Heidt, Photographer, Pooler GA is printed on the back
