Colorado postcard
Year Mailed: 1910
Additional Info: A GREAT and Unique Real Photo postcard showing the Elks building as it was being constructed - including some workers on the landings, roof and porch. There is lumber stacked around the building. It has a corner stone with ELKS HOME AD 1910. The building next to it has a sign for __aughlin's XXXX Coffee. Note on the face states: Elks Home AD 1910 & the Motto of the Order. Back states: This is a view of the new Elk Club now under process of construction. As you can tell by the picture, it is located south of the fire house. It is certainly going to be a dandy home. Will be ready for occupancy about Dec 1. Lots of good new timber now coming into the lodge too. Better come back to Salida ___ ____. There are a couple of creases/bends to the card but it is over 105 years old - and you will probably never find another like it!!
- We combine your postcard purchases and ONLY charge you a flat s/h fees of $2 to the US, Canada and Worldwide (for 1 card or 100).
- Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
- Again, because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
