New Hampshire postcard - Woodsville, NH
Mailed 1914, NH clear strike
Nice clear Real Photo postcard
What I see is: a closed wagon with the word CAFE on the back of the spoked wheeled cart - so it must have been an early version of a FOOD TRUCK!! / on left of the TILTON Building is THE LOW PRICE - GEO L LANPHER - CASH STORE showing a bunch of shoes in the window / middle section has MILLINERY above the 1st floor - Mrs M L ____ MILLINERY PARLORS on sign but I can't quite make out her last name - and to the left of that opening is a sign that reads THIS IS THE PLACE - GROCERIES - SHOES - RUBBERS - GLOVES - MITTENS / and on the right is sign for E H LOTHER - HARDWARE - CROCKERY - RANGES - PAINTS and OILS.......with the window displaying oil lamps, some with double sections as well as chimneys, dishes etc - and below that window is a sign for GOODRICH SEWING MACHINES / to the right of the tree is a sign for _________INTERNATIONAL______ / and the last building on the right has a partial sign for TEXACO with the Big Star with a T in it and MO____, which might be MOBIL??
You can clearly see 2 glass or ceramic insulators on the part of the building face that has INTERNATIONAL on it - with the wires running to them.
There is a pin hole just above the O in TILTON at top of the building

- Please note that the majority of the cards are over 50 years old and as such, are sold AS IS. Tears will be noted but it would be too timely to note each fault on every card. If condition is important to you - contact us with our number in the title & what it is that you would like to know or what it is that you would like pictured more closely.
- Because of the age of the cards - they are noted as being USED - no matter if they are written on or not.
